Portal 4-4 or just 4-4, is a Cyber Space stage in Sonic Frontiers. It is the fourth Cyber Space stage in Ouranos Island, and the twenty-fifth one overall. It is one of the longest stages in the game.

Description[]

Main article: Eternal Highway
4-4 shares the basic Cyber Space theme along other stages, while presenting floating city locations strongly resembling Skyscraper Scamper from Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed and Speed Highway from console/PC version of Sonic Generations. As such, there are many streets and buildings present in the distance. The streets are layered with various signs as well as traffic signals, while the background consist of fast moving roads complementing the pink background with rapid, laser-like sparks also bypassing the screen to represent the digitized atmosphere of the stage.

Portal location[]

In Ouranos Island, the entrance Portal to the Cyber Space stage is located at the west coast of the north-eastern island, which requires a bridge to get across via Ouranos Island's first Hacking Mission. It also requires one Portal Gear to unlock.

Gameplay[]

The most notable obstacles which Sonic will be encountering are rails - including looped, spiked and with gaps too; moving iron balls, some of them swinging in groups, vertical, or just end-to-end; spike pits and Giant Rainbow Rings. Switches are often guarded by Iron balls, and once pressed, would open doors and lower platforms to help the player reach higher walls.

Overview[]

Some of the Giant Rainbow Rings are placed in an awkward position requiring a tricky diagonal jump to reach them. Otherwise, making good use of the layout and timing is key to completing this level, particularly while attempting to trigger the switches guarded by Iron balls.
