In this chapter of the guide you will find information about usefulness and functions of all items that can be crafter in workshop mode. You will also find information about constructions to build which you will need any perks.

Structures

Structures are objects such as walls, doors, fences, stairs or roofs. By using them you can create buildings and rooms. Structures (their presence on settlement territory) by themselves do not impact any of the settlement's indicators.

Furniture

Furniture are objects designated for filling the structures. Among them you can find such objects like beds, sleeping bags (they have impact on the indicator: beds), chairs or containers.

Decorations

Decorations serve mostly aesthetical purpose, they make a room or location look better. In this category you will find carpets, portraits, signs, drink machines. Decorations have no impact on any indicator of the settlement.

Electricity

In this category you will find electric generators, lights, switches, electric posts or alarms. They impact one indicator: power.

Science!, rang. 1 - required for constructing the Large Generator, Laser Trap and Stroboscope.

Hacker, rang. 1 - required for constructing Terminal.

 

Electricity - most frequently used resources: Steel, Gears, Copper, Rubber, Electricity, Ceramics

Fortifications

Among fortifications you can find turrets, traps and guard outposts. Fortifications are defending the settlements from raiders and their effectiveness can depend on many items found in Electricity category such as terminals, pressure plates or switches. Lack of or small number of fortifications increases the chance for the settlement to be attacked by bandits which (if you won't eliminate them fast enough) reduces the happiness indicator.

Impacts the following indicators: defense.

Crafting

In Crafting category you will find all workshops available in the game. In this category you will find the workshop that allows opening workshop mode and chemistry station, armor workbench, power armor station, cooking station and weapons workbench.
