Spinning Logs are an object in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its reissue, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Description[]

Spinning Logs are pink log platforms that have a function of remaining still for a while and then start spinning wildly, similarly to some of the Rotary Lifts in Super Mario Bros. 3. While spinning, a Spinning Log can throw a Yoshi into a certain direction, which can either provide the benefit of giving him a boost to his Flutter Jump or send him falling into a pit.
