split the Super Mario Galaxy information into the Chomp article, as they are not Incoming Chomps
You can discuss this in the comments or edit this page to improve it.

Incoming Chomps are a large Chomp variant with a high jumping ability. They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, in which they are first encountered in the level Watch Out Below!.

In Yoshi's Island series[]

Watch Out Below GBA

Pink Yoshi and Baby Mario narrowly avoid an Incoming Chomp in Watch Out Below! in the remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. A few more Incoming Chomps are seen behind the hills.

An Incoming Chomp is at first shown at the hills in the background, but as a Yoshi approaches, it jumps high into the air to where Yoshi is and tries to land on him. In doing so, the Incoming Chomp eats a large pit in the earth. Despite the large size of an Incoming Chomp, a Yoshi does not lose Baby Mario if he touches it, although the impact of the Incoming Chomp's fall tries to forcefully push the Yoshi down with him.

Areas with Incoming Chomps are indicated by a sign depicting one.

In Super Mario Galaxy / Super Mario Galaxy 2[]

In the Super Mario Galaxy games, these creatures rolled around, harming Mario if he touches one. They usually roll in a set pattern, sometimes being shot out of cannons. The path the Incoming Chomps will go through on their way is typically denoted by a dark smear in front of them. The Chompworks Galaxy was themed around the manipulation of these creatures. They are invincible to most of Mario's attacks, and can only be harmed by rolling into a wall, into a hole, or by touching Mario with a Rainbow Star.
