One has to admit that the decision-making positions in Valve are filled with tough guys who are adamant about the will of their fans. After years of begging for a new Half-Life , the company finally gave the players what they asked for... But definitely not in the form that they hoped for. Instead of a full-fledged third part, we got a spin-off, which would have been acceptable if it had not been hidden behind the technological barrier of equipment to which few have access. It was not a very popular move... unless somebody just had the right VR goggles or bought them for the occasion - then they got a phenomenal game.

Half-Life: Alyx is a true advertisement of virtual reality, showcasing what this technology can do when used to create a high-budget production. A production with unparalleled level of immersion in traditional conditions, allowing to interact with a fictional world on an incredible scale. With each step you take, the game proves that VR is not just a tech gadget, but an integral part of fun.

And at the same time this production does not forget about being just a great shooter. With a long, extensive campaign offering an engaging scenario. Emotional shootouts, ingenious puzzles, impressive horror scenes. This is a great comeback for Half-Life and proof that Valve is still one of the top game designers, even if they remind us of it so rarely.
