Ghostt Spoiler warning : Don't you even dare read the spoiler! Because if you do… Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo… A horrible fate awaits you.

Crime Wave Clyde plays a major role in "Crimes R Us." Here, King Koopa and his Koopalings travel to Clyde's prison on the Doom Ship, where he is taken to by Bully Koopa. Following King Koopa's request, Clyde agrees to teach the Koopalings everything that he knows about crime to help them become expert criminals. King Koopa, crossing his fingers behind his back, tells Clyde that he can keep half of whatever they steal.

The first lesson Clyde gives to the Koopalings is bank robbery. After receiving a crash course from Clyde, the Koopalings raid the First Mushroom Bank, but are foiled by Mario and Luigi in the process.

Clyde realizes that the Koopalings were unsuccessful in their bank heist, so he gives a second lesson that involves getting rid of the Mario Bros.. This begins with Cheatsy Koopa stealing lunch money from a Mushroom boy in Desert Land, whose cry for help travels through a Warp Pipe to alert the Mario Bros. However, the pipe ends up becoming a trap into an underground maze, where Clyde and Big Mouth lock them in with a Boom Boom.

Later on, Clyde says that he has taught the Koopalings everything he knows on committing crimes, so he has them go throughout the Mushroom Kingdom to steal anything that they desire. However, Clyde is pressed when the Koopalings steal from him as well.

When King Koopa proposes that his Koopalings steal one billion Gold Coins from the Mushroom Kingdom Treasury, Clyde agrees to help in hopes that him receiving half of the loot would relieve him from all the stress the Koopalings give him. The Koopalings end up betraying Clyde, to his surprise, and handcuff a Bob-omb to his ankle. Clyde manages to blow out the Bob-omb's fuse before it explodes.

Angry that he was double-crossed, Clyde seeks Mario and Luigi's assistance by breaking into the maze he had trapped them in and urges them to return him to Earth. Clyde offers to help the Mario Bros. stop the Koopalings from robbing the Mushroom Kingdom Treasury, which Mario and Luigi reluctantly agree to.

When the Koopalings infiltrate the Mushroom Kingdom Treasury, they are surprised to see Clyde and the Mario Bros. waiting for them behind a vaulted door. Clyde and the Mario Bros. tie up the Koopalings and send them up into the Doom Ship, along with a big Bob-omb. When the Doom Ship is partially blown away, fireworks are formed, which Clyde feels proud of.

As agreed upon earlier, Mario and Luigi return Clyde back his prison on Earth, where Clyde still has an extensive criminal record. Mario and Luigi end up befriending Clyde and visit him at the prison's visitor center. The Mario Bros. deem Clyde's prison sentence to be onerous, especially since he has reformed, but Clyde says that he will gladly serve his 12,423-year prison sentence with no parole if it means not spending another day with the Koopas.
