The Mushroom Sea is a location featured in a few episodes of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Description[]

The Mushroom Sea is a large body of water located in Dark Land next to Castle Koopa. The "Mushroom" in its name could refer to the Mushroom Land.

In The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3[]

"Reptiles in the Rose Garden"[]

The Mushroom Sea has a prominent role, and this is the only episode to give it a name. At first, King Koopa uses the Levitation Beam to transport the White House (along with the President) to Dark Land so that Kootie Pie Koopa can rule the United States of America for her sixteenth birthday, but King Koopa then decides to send the President down to the bottom of the Mushroom Sea so that he cannot be rescued.

Using the Levitation Beam, Bowser lifts the White House and sends it over the Mushroom Sea, where he releases it, allowing it to sink to the bottom. The President is too busy talking on the phone to notice the events occurring, but his wife fears for their lives.

Mario puts on a Frog Suit and dives into the Mushroom Sea to make his way over to the White House and rescue it. Mario quickly assembles a pump out of pipes to flush the water out of the White House, which raises to the surface of the Mushroom Sea.

Later, after Mario and Luigi take control of the Doom Ship from the Sledge Brothers, Mario uses the Levitation Beam to lift the White House out of the Mushroom Sea and warp it back to Washington, D.C.

"Mind Your Mummy Mommy, Mario"[]

When Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad escape from Castle Koopa on their steam powered mummy sled, they use it to ride across the Mushroom Sea.

"Never Koop a Koopa"[]

Luigi and Toad wait in a boat on the Mushroom Sea while Mario and Princess Toadstool enter Castle Koopa. After a while, Mario and Princess Toadstool have still not returned, so Luigi and Toad decide to follow them by diving into the Mushroom Sea and entering Castle Koopa through a drainpipe.
