Reaching the contaminated area

You can get the achievement at any time after starting the drill on the rig for the first time. This will cause the first black spots to appear on the world map.

1. Go to any area with contamination, i.e. the dark, thick liquid. It is important to reach your destination at night. It's the only time you'll have a chance to trigger the goliath.

The appearance of the monster and avoiding it

1. Swim in the contaminated area and wait for it.
2. The floating eyeballs will be the first to appear. Avoid contact with them, but allow them to follow your boat.

1. After a few moments, the Gleaming Goliath should emerge- see the screenshot.

1. Your objective is to avoid contact with the monster when it attacks. You need to be close enough to the goliath though and use Haste quickly.
2. If you were hit or you haven't received the trophy, wait for the goliath to emerge again and try to activate Haste while being closer to the monster. Only then will the game register that you have avoided the monster's attempt to devour the ship.
