Rose isIn ‘The Last Christmas Cowboy’ we meet Rose Daniels and Logan Heath. Rose and Logan grew up together and have been working together for years. Rose is definitely something like a little sister to Logan.. Well unfortunately that’s not true at all. Logan has always been there to look after Rose, just like her big brother Ryder, but the last few years Logan started to notice things about Rose he shouldn’t notice. How beautiful she is for example. But Logan has always been able to ignore any ‘unwanted’ feelings for Rose. That is until they share a moment they both kind forget.
This book was definitely a fun Holiday read for me. I loved reading about Rose and Logan. The moments between these two definitely where very charming and it kept me wanting to read more. I loved the fact that Rose and Logan seemed to be only these co-workers at first, but the farther you come into this book you’ll learn that there is much more between these too than you’d notice at first. They are friends, family and definitely more than that.
Rose’s character was a little frustrating to me at times though. For example the part where she tried to be a matchmaker for her sister. Logan kept telling her it was a bad idea, but she just didn’t want to listen. She also just seemed a little childish at times, if you ask me. Logan’s character was definitely my favorite. He was kind and hardworking, and yes he did have this Grinch like thing about Christmas, but Rose slowly got him to participate more in the Christmas celebrations.
The chemistry between Rose and Logan was definitely fun to read about. There were some pretty fun steamy moments and I loved how they where not your normal ‘best friends little sister’ types. I would have enjoyed some more Christmassy moments, but overall it was another fun read.

In ‘A Marvell Country Christmas’ Murphy Anderson returns home to the ranch her father left her after he died. Murphy doesn’t have many good memories about the place, and it’s almost Christmas, so she tries to make the best of it. When her old teenage crush and neighbor Cody Marvell stops by all Murphy wants to do is run. But there are things that have to be done, and Cody is still handsome as ever. When the weather gets worse, Murphy needs help and the only one she can think of to help her is Cody.
‘A Marvell Country Christmas’ was a nice relaxing read. I enjoyed reading about Murphy’s character, but especially in the beginning I also found her quiet confusing. She is mad about stuff that I didn’t get at all. True, she had a bad childhood because of her father who couldn’t show emotions.. but to blame so much on a teenage Cody. I didn’t really get it. But thankfully it didn’t matter that much, because overall this was an easy fun Christmas read. My favorite character was definitely Cody. He was just fun! And sweet.. and made me wonder if there really is a guy like him in the world?
What I loved most about this Christmas read, was how the characters made ‘Christmas’ from scratch. They ended up together and didn’t have any Christmas stuff planned. But they made Christmas cookies and decorated a tree. It was fun to read about and I definitely shows us the true meaning of Christmas.. Nothing fancy is needed, just love and faith. I loved that.
What this book definitely did was make me want to read more books in the series. Throughout this book you get some hints about possible future main characters and I definitely would like to read there story.
Overall ‘A Marvell Country Christmas’ was a nice comfy read.

I love Samantha’s writing and I’ve read several of her series. So when I received a Christmas themed novella, based on the sister from the McQuaid Brothers series I was so excited and started reading as soon as I could.
In ‘Love by Design’ we read the story of Holland McQuaid, who we got to know a little bit in the McQuaid Brothers series. Holland is working for a prestigious designer when her own work gets the publicity most only dream about. When Holland is in need of a date for an upcoming ball. Her boss sets her up with a blind date. You can imagine Holland’s surprise when Stryker Taylor, a Baseball star, is waiting for her.
From the moment Holland and Stryker meet, there is this intense connection between them. But Holland has never wanted a guy for longer than a night. She is all about work and making her designs. Stryker changes everything though. He is determined to make Holland work less, and enjoy Christmas more.
‘Love By Design’ was such a sweet, sexy Christmas novella. It was short and I easily read it in little over an hour. I found myself hooked to these pages and I definitely got Christmas vibes. The one problem with this read.. it was just way to short! I could have easily read a whole book about these two characters. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved how easily they connected and wanted to spend time together.
Ever since reading the McQuaid Brothers series I’ve been wanting to read Holland’s story. So this was the perfect Christmas present by Samantha Christy. And if you haven’t read the series yet, this short novella will still be pretty amazing. Trust me!
‘If You Give a Grump a Holiday Wishlist’ was fun and short novella I definitely enjoyed. From the moment I started reading, I found myself hooked to the pages. We read this story through both Preston and Jack’s point of view and it was really entertaining. I laughed, and I swooned while reading these pages. Yes, the romance part moves pretty quick.. but since it’s a novella, it fits.
Next to a fun romance, I loved getting to know Preston’s family a little bit. And I definitely hope we get to read more about her brothers?! Ann Einerson really knows how to write some entertaining characters. Add in my favorite holiday, and I had a great evening. ...more

In ‘Show of Honor’ we read the story of Joe and Jessie. Joe and Jessie met last year at Christmas, and after an amazing night without exchanging names of contact information they both went on with their life. But they both thought about each other a lot. Especially when Jessie found herself being pregnant. Now, a year later they accidentally meet again and when Joe sees Jessie and sees his little girl for the first time, he knows he wants to be in their lives. Not for a night, but forever.
‘Show of Honor’ was definitely a fun read I enjoyed. The romance between Joe and Jessie was fun to read, and I loved their chemistry. I’m not always a fan of the surprise baby trope, but in this book it worked. To be honest, I found the moments between Joe and his little girl definitely the best of this book.
The two main characters Joe and Jessie where definitely amazing. I loved how fierce and tough Jessie was. She was a mom, and did everything for her little girl. But she also wanted to work, and I loved reading her story. Especially her struggles, because I could really relate with them as a mom myself. And Joe was just very loveable. Kind, handsome, and his relationship with his moms.. I loved it.
‘Show of Honor’ was a short read that made me want to read more in this series. We read a bit about the other characters in this previous books.. and I’m definitely curious now....more

Now things get even more dangerous, and the Marshal in charge decides to hide Emmy away on the Range of an old friend. Dwight Reynolds has been living his life, taking care of his family Range after a career in the army, FBI and home security. When an old friend comes by needing a space for Emmy to hide away, he immediately agrees. From the moment Dwight sees Emmy, he wants to take care of her and promises to do anything in his power to keep her safe.
‘Home for a Cowboy Christmas’ was a fun read that I definitely enjoyed. The two main characters Emmy and Dwight are very likable, and their romance was really sweet. I loved how Dwight wanted to take care of Emmy, and how charming he was. He definitely was one of the good guys. Emmy was also fun, but I don’t feel like we got to know her all that well.
There was also a bit of suspense in this book, but it wasn’t all that much considering we start this book right in the middle of Emmy’s big escape to the range. I thought it would be a bit more to be honest.
Although ‘Home for a Cowboy Christmas’ was a fun book I enjoyed reading, it wasn’t as great as I hoped. The romance was definitely a bit instant, especially from Emmy’s side and I missed the chemistry. It was also a bit predictable, but not in a bad way. Overall, a fun romantic Christmas read. ...more

After oneIn ‘Hearts in Winter’ we read the story of Everley and Dylan. Everley and Dylan used to be married. But marrying young didn’t work for them. After one year of marriage, Dylan left and broke Everley’s heart. Now, 8 years later Dylan is back in Winterville and tells Everley that they never got divorced. How could that have happened? And what do they do now? When Everley and Dylan are forced to act like they are a happy married couple things start to become even more complicated.
‘Hearts in Winter’ was from the very first page a book I couldn’t put down. I already loved the small town of Winterville since reading the first book, but through this book I seriously love it even more. The two main characters Everley and Dylan, loved each other intensely years ago. They married young and had this explosive passion between them. But they both wanted very different things from life, and they separated. But they both never really got over each other. And when they meet again after all those years, they realize they still love each other. But nothing has changed. They both have very different lives. So things might end in heartbreak yet again.
Everley and Dylan are definitely my new favorite characters in the Winterville series. Boy did I love them!! The chemistry between them is something you could easily feel flying of the pages. And yes I definitely mean flying!! Their connection is intense and I couldn’t stop reading this book until I read every single page. (Thank you for yet another sleepless night Carrie :’) ) The romance part was just so good. I loved every single page.
My favorite character was definitely Everley. She was very easy to like. Hardworking, passionate and kind. And I loved how she loved Dylan with everything she has. But Dylan’s character was also amazing. Yes, he did have his troubles. But above all he was just a very good guy and I loved how he just wanted to take care of Everley.
The setting of Winterville is definitely one of my favorites. I love romance, and I love Christmas. So a small Christmas-crazy town with some great romance? This series is definitely checking all my boxes and I can’t wait for the next read in this series. ...more

Madeleine is on her way to Paris when her flight got cancelled due to the volcano eruption in Iceland. Traveling from the US, she is now stuck in London.. on her own without any friends or family nearby. And it’s almost Christmas. After the year she’s had, this couldn’t be more frustrating. Fortunately for Madeleine, she meets cab driver Julian Halliwell, an optimist and London lover. Although stuck in London is not what she had planned for Christmas, spending time with Julian proves very enjoyable. And soon Madeleine is getting to know London more and more. And maybe.. this is the place she is supposed to be.
This was definitely a very enjoyable read. It’s a clean romance between two characters I enjoyed getting to know. Madeleine, a hardworking girl who used to love Christmas but lost her best friend. And Julian, a music journalist who tries to see the best in everything after his life changed drastically a little while ago. The romance definitely was fun and sweet. It missed a bit of chemistry in my opinion.. but the setting all made up for that.
The setting of London, my favorite city in the world, was definitely very enjoyable. After only having been in London two times, I loved getting to travel to this city again. And boy did it made me wish I was able to go again soon. I loved how Julian was a Cab driver, and the way he showed Madeleine around.
My favorite part about this book? Definitely the setting in London and it being Christmas time, but also the fun fact Madeleine and her best friend loved ‘The Holiday’ and ‘Love Actually’ and wanted to visited the places in London those movies where shot. That could totally be me! Love that!!
The only down part for me in this book was the pace at times. Some chapters just went a bit slow and could have been a bit shorter for me. But overall a very fun, romantic, Christmas read....more

Mary is a single mom, to a six year old autistic boy. All her life Mary has done everything she was supposed to. Go to college, marry the responsible guy and be a good wife and mom. Now her life has been turned upside down and she definitely could use some help. What she didn’t expect to need was Jace. A broke, ex-con who is extremely handsome. Jace is everything she never wanted. But things need to change.. and maybe Jace is exactly what she needs.
This story was definitely one I loved. After a slow start, I got pulled into the story of Mary and Jace. Mary’s character honestly made me think of myself most of the time. A control freak, who apologizes a lot and never really does something nice for herself. Yep, that sounds a lot like me most days. And her interactions with her ‘friend’ Nicole, made me laugh out loud several times.
Then there is Jace. This hardworking, handsome, tattooed guy who made a bad decision when he was young. Now all he wants to do is make something of himself. He works hard, stays out of trouble and helps out his elderly neighbor. What is not to like about him?
The chemistry between Mary and Jace is definitely intense. And you easily get swept away by there intense connection. I loved how they where both so different, but also so right for each other. And there where several moments that gave me all the butterflies. Sigh..
A nice side note to this story was Mary’s son, Aiden. He is autistic and definitely need a different approach than most 6 year old’s. I enjoyed reading about him and how Jace got close to him. And then there is Mary’s friend Nicole. Ow boy.. That girl made me laugh out loud so much. I definitely got some worried glances from my husband while reading about her. LOL!
‘Jingle Bell Hell’ was a great read I definitely loved. It was my first book by these two authors.. and I definitely want to read the first book in this standalone series too....more

I just loved Holly and Josh right from the start and couldn’t wait to read their story. Add a wintery Christmas setting and it honestly feels like this book was written for me.
After Holly and Josh met 8 years earlier, their lives have both gone very different ways. Now, Holly is returning to Winterville to help save the town her beloved grandmother founded. Holly expected to have to work hard, but what she didn’t expect was to find Josh as the guy who is trying to buy Winterville. Although they haven’t seen or spoken to each other in 8 years, there is this instant chemistry between them they both can’t deny.
From the moment I started reading this book I was hooked. I loved everything about it. The fun, lovely, kind and interesting characters. And the very charming setting of the snow filled mountain Christmas town of Winterville. I found myself devouring these pages and in the end I read it way to fast.
Holly and Josh have this amazing chemistry, and this book definitely gave me all the feels. Holly is this smart, tough and beautiful woman who never really has had the love of a mother. The one woman she looked up to was her grandmother. So when the town her grandmother founded is being sold to a rich developer, she is determined to find a way to make sure no developer will be able to get his hands on her beloved home town. But Josh is definitely more than a rich developer. Josh, is kind and charming and makes her feel all kinds of emotions. This definitely made for some exciting moments.
The way Carrie Elks described this book was ‘It's like Hallmark, but... hotter?’. Well.. that definitely says it all. This book was very romantic, and definitely had some very hot moments.
And one more thing I loved? Throughout this book we read about some other characters. And I definitely can’t wait to read about their story. There’s just so much more about Winterville I want to read about.
‘Welcome To Winterville’ was definitely a great romance. Great characters, a gorgeous setting and some amazing chemistry. Yes, it’s about a town that loves Christmas.. But it’s definitely not necessarily a book about Christmas. And I definitely recommend it....more

In ‘Every Day in December’ we meet Belle Wilde. Belle loves Christmas and honestly believes Christmas brings something good to everyone. Rory hates December, and so also really doesn’t like Christmas. But when Belle and Rory meet again after years not having spoken to each other, they slowly grow closer. And when December comes to its end.. Belle may be able to prove to Rory that this is the best time of year.
This was my first book by Kitty Wilson, and I must say I definitely enjoyed it. It was my first ‘Christmas’ read of the year, and it definitely had that Christmassy vibe about it. I loved getting to know the two main characters Belle and Rory, and reading how they reconnected was definitely fun.
This book was filled with romance and family drama, and it definitely made for a very entertaining read. It didn’t have as much romance as I would have hoped. But the fun writing style made up for it. And at times I did think the book was a bit slow paced, which fortunately didn’t bother me too much. The characters where fun, which really made up for the slower moments.
Although ‘Every Day in December’ definitely had a Christmassy vibe about it, it wasn’t necessarily so much about Christmas. This didn’t bother me at all, but I don’t think this book necessarily needs to be seen as a Christmas romance.
‘Every Day in December’ definitely was a fun romantic read, I enjoyed. ...more

When Audrey arrives at Winter Valley, everything seems to come right out of a Christmas novel. It’s a charming town, with even more charming people living there. The moment Audrey arrives, she literally bumps into Colin Bradford. Colin is a single dad trying to make the best life possible for his little girl. And when Colin meets funny, slightly weird Audrey he knows what he wants for Christmas.
‘Holiday With You’ is definitely a charming, holiday novel that gives you all the feels. It’s a short novel, and everything definitely happens a little fast.. But I loved it. I love the two main characters Audrey and Colin right from the start. They had instant chemistry, and I definitely was rooting for them.
The little town of Winter Valley really is your picture perfect Christmas town. There’s snow, the people are kind for each other and there is hot chocolate and peppermint mocha’s all around. It’s definitely the sort of town I picture as a Christmas town.
The romance between Audrey and Colin was light, with some mellow steamy scenes which was definitely perfect for this book. And I also loved getting to know a little more about Colin’s siblings. There where a lot of them and I secretly hope there will be more books about them.

And this year with Christmas, Gavin and Julie both go back to their hometown to spent the holidays together. And maybe it’s because of all the mistletoe hanging around.. and their meddling parents, but there is something different going on between them.
‘The Mistletoe Trap’ was from the beginning a very entertaining, nice and cozy romance that made me keep on reading. I loved the two main characters Gavin and Julie. They have this intense friendship, which honestly is something everyone would want. And I love the family they have. Since both their parents are also friends, they all grew up together and it’s just one big happy family. I loved that.
The romance between Gavin and Julie is very sweet and slow. I loved how we got to read this book through both their point of views, and how they slowly got to the realization there was more between them then just friendship. Their where also plenty of funny moments, which made me laugh out loud.

Simple because it was just a little much. LOL! So when I saw this new book by Karen Schaler, I knew I had to read it.
In ‘Christmas Ever After’ we meet author Riley Reynolds. Riley has been a successful author, but her latest book has been a bust. Now, to win back her fans, Riley has agreed on writing a Christmas novel. The only problem is Riley hasn’t celebrated Christmas ever since she was a little girl. And she has no experience what so ever with celebrating it. To help her write the story, Riley has agreed on going to a Christmas Camp even. There she meets the handsome owner Luke. And disturbingly enough also her three ex-boyfriends.
‘Christmas Ever After’ was definitely a nice Christmas read. You definitely get the Christmas vibe by reading this book. Riley hasn’t done Christmas for many years, and now slowly on she is getting reacquainted with Christmas by spending time in this beautiful Christmas Lake lodge. It sure was fun to see her struggle with Christmas.
The romance in this book was very sweet and very mellow. I could have gone with a little more passion and chemistry, but it was definitely nice. And there where also plenty of funny moments in this book.
The one problem I had with this read was that I really didn’t think it was very different from the previous book by Karen Schaler ‘Christmas Camp’. In the beginning I even thought I might have already read this book. It might be because this book had a Christmas Camp event in it, which was similar to the book ‘Christmas Camp’. But I just thought it wasn’t very original.
Overall ‘Christmas Ever After’ was a nice read with some nice Christmassy vibes. ...more

So when I saw the sign up for Holiday Ever After, a collection of eleven sweet and sexy holiday stories from New York Times and USA Today best-selling authors, I knew I had to read this one. And I was super excited to be able to start reading.
I love Christmas stories, and I love romance, so this collection was just perfect for me. Every night before I went to sleep, I would read one or two of these stories and I loved them. Most of these authors where new to me and I really enjoyed getting a glimpse of their characters and there writing styles.
The stories that stood out to me the most where ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ by Kimberly Kincaid, ‘Must Love Alligators’ by Erin Nicholas, ‘Tempt The Assistant’ by Nathasha Madison and ‘All I Want Is a Kiss’ by Willow Winters. These four books where just way to short for me, because I just loved them so much. The characters where fun and the romance was sweet and hot.
But don’t get me wrong, the other books where pretty good too and I found myself not wanting this collection to end. It was the perfect Christmassy Romance read for those crazy busy December nights. ...more

So when her new Christmas book came up, and I was signing up for the HoHoHo Readathon, I knew this was a book I had to get and had to use for the readathon. So when HoHoHo started, I began reading as fast as I could.
Ever since I read a little about the youngest Dalton brother Caleb in the previous books in the Gold Valley series, I just knew I had to read this book. There is just something about his character that I loved from the start. And his character only got better and better if you ask me. Although I didn’t really connect with Ellie as much as I did with Caleb, her character was definitely one I was rooting for from the start.
Caleb has been in love with his best friends wife for years, even before she was his best friends wife. But life got in the way, and Caleb always kept his distance. Now his best friend is dead, and he feels a constant struggle between taking care of her because that is what his best friend would have wanted and his feelings. Yes, it sounds complicating and throughout this read you could ‘feel’ Caleb’s struggles.
The Christmas part in this book was definitely nice. I mean.. Cowboys and Christmas? Yep. I loved it! And although I really enjoyed the Christmas part, and I enjoyed the characters I didn’t love this book as much as I hoped when I started reading. I guess because of all those confusing feelings, and struggles.
But still.. even it’s not my favorite Maisey Yates read. ‘Cowboy Christmas Redemption’ really is a fun Romantic Christmas read I’d recommend....more
I just love Christmas and I love cowboy stories. So when I got the opportunity to read the third book in the River Ranch series, after also reading thI just love Christmas and I love cowboy stories. So when I got the opportunity to read the third book in the River Ranch series, after also reading the first two books, I just couldn’t resist. I mean who doesn’t love romantic Christmas story about a cowboy?
In ‘Once Upon A Cowboy’ Cody Ford returns home for Christmas after rarely coming home for over a decade. Cody has made a success for himself and just doesn’t really want to think about the past and everything he left behind all those years ago. But when Cody sees his father after months, and realizes he is a lot sicker than he let on, he knows he has to stay a little longer. After seeing the woman who takes care of his sick father, and who happens to be his ex-girlfriend Lexi, Cody is torn about what to do. He really wants to run on the one hand, but he also really wants to get to know Lexi again.
After reading the first two books in this series, I really couldn’t wait to read this book too. And I was happy to find myself enjoying this book just as much as the previous two. The two main characters Cody and Lexi are really fun to read about. Cody, this successful guy who has been hiding from his feelings for a very long time and happens to find the one girl he loved in his old home. And Lexi, the single mom who has to work like crazy to get every bill paid. I loved Lexi. She was so tough and such a great mom.
The chemistry between Cody and Lexi is there from the start. And it was fun to read how there relationship developed. I also really enjoyed reading little bits about the characters from the previous two books.
The Christmas charm in this book was a little hard to find if you ask me. It wasn’t bad, but I could easily forgot that it was almost Christmas. There was snow, and it was cold.. but there wasn’t a lot of Christmas feelings in this book. I didn’t miss it, but seeing the title of this book I just expected there to be more.
Overall I really enjoyed Cody and Lexi’s story. And I can’t wait to read the book about the fourth Ford sibling. If you looking for a fun, romantic cowboy story.. This is definitely the series for you! ...more
When I was looking for Christmas reads for the HoHoHo readathon a little while back, I came across ‘One Week Till Christmas’ on Netgalley. That cover When I was looking for Christmas reads for the HoHoHo readathon a little while back, I came across ‘One Week Till Christmas’ on Netgalley. That cover looked so simple and cute that it just grabbed my attention. And after reading the book description I knew I wanted to read this book.
‘One Week Till Christmas’ is definitely a very sweet and nice Christmas read. Isobel Bennett is a travel journalist from Australia who is visiting London a view days before Christmas. The day she arrives, she literary bumps into this handsome guy. And when she unexpectedly sees the handsome stranger Tom again the next day she decides to spend some time with him. And soon Isobel and Tom are inseparable.
This book definitely had everything to make it a fun Christmas read. Set in December in gorgeous London. A handsome guy.. a girl you can easily relate too, romance. Yes, ‘One Week Till Christmas’ definitely seemed to have it all. But although I definitely enjoyed this book, I didn’t really feel the chemistry between the characters as much as I would have liked. Especially Tom’s character just didn’t really work for me. And I couldn’t really tell you why to be honest. I just didn’t ‘feel’ him.
Also the ending of this book felt a little rushed to me. One minute we are going through every day before Christmas slowly, and the next it was Christmas. But obviously the whole walking through London in Christmas time made up for a lot. Sigh.. I loved walking through London with these characters.
Yes, ‘One Week Till Christmas’ was a fun Christmas read, but it didn’t wow me. ...more
I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Carrie Elks so far. And the books in the Angel Sands Series are no exception. So when I heard the fourth book in the series was coming, and it had a Christmas theme, I couldn’t be more excited. A Christmas and Carrie Elks read is my kind of perfect. So when I was able too, I started reading as fast as I could.
In ‘Just A Kiss’ we meet Brecken Miller. Brecken is back in the little town he grew up in after leaving it years ago after his mom died. Now his best friend Lucas is getting married at Christmas, a time Breck normally disappears to escape the day his mom past away all those years ago. But with a wedding coming up, disappearing isn’t an option. And when Brecken sees Lucas’s baby sister Caitie for the first time in years, he is struck by her beauty and kindness.Caitie rarely comes back to the little town her parents and brother still life. But with her brother getting married, and her helping out with the wedding preparations she can’t stay away anymore. And when she sees one of her brothers friends, who she had a major crush on growing up, she can’t deny it’s good to be back home.
‘Just A Kiss’ is definitely a great, fun and really romantic read. I loved this book from the very first page. The two main characters Brecken and Caitie have this chemistry between them that is flying of the pages, and I just loved getting to know them. The whole best friend of her brother thing, is always something I enjoy. (Perhaps because my husband is the brother of one of my school girlfriends LOL) And the whole Christmas thing made this book even more enjoyable. I found myself reading this book till way to late because I just couldn’t get enough.
The best part about this book for me, was definitely how ‘real’ Brecken and Caitie where. They aren’t perfect, and their life isn’t perfect. It really makes this book feel like something that could really happen and I love that.
Next to the two main characters we also get to read about the other characters in the Angel Sands series, and I just love that. It’s like catching up with old friends!! And we also get to read about Caitlie’s best friend Harper, and I can’t wait to read more about her. I read something about her book coming up next. I’m excited.
If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing and very romantic Christmas read.. This book is definitely for you....more
