Ann has a way of writing books that always blow my mind. You think you know how a book will go, but this author definitely writes stories with lots of twists and turns. And Sunday Morning is definitely no different. And from the moment I started reading I was hooked.
Sunday Morning is the story of Sarah. Sarah is a preacher’s daughter on the verge of graduating high school. Everything in her life is set. She’ll go to community college, marry her first love and have lots of babies. But nothing about this plan is what Sarah wants. Sarah wants to move to Nashville and sing. And the only one who seems to see the real Sarah is Isaac. But Isaac is her boyfriend’s older brother and he is definitely not the one her father would approve off.
Honestly, when I read the book description I wasn’t sure this book would be for me. But just like any other book I read by Jewel E. Ann this book was nothing like I thought it would be and I was hooked from the very first page. The romance and chemistry in this book was zepic. But above all the coming of age story with these amazing characters was so so good. And I couldn’t get enough.
This book went so different than I though it would. And I loved every moment. This book gave me all the emotions. I laughed, I cried.. This book is set in the eighties and it was so good to read about the time before all this social media and internet stuff.
Sunday Morning is a definite 5 star read and I can’t wait what Jewel E. Ann has in store for us next. ...more
This book was the one I was looking forward to the most these last few months. After loving the first book in the series ‘Wild Love’, I couldn’t wait This book was the one I was looking forward to the most these last few months. After loving the first book in the series ‘Wild Love’, I couldn’t wait to start reading ‘Wild Eyes’.
‘Wild Eyes’ is the story of Weston Belmont and country singer Skylar. One day, Weston finds Skylar at the side of the road. They think they’ll never meet again after that, but Skylar has taken a break from her ‘famous’ life and soon finds herself moving in to a little cabin on Weston’s property. Weston and Skylar couldn’t be more different. Weston spends his days surrounded by horses, and he has two young kids. Skylar has been famous ever since she was a little girl. Nothing in her life is unplanned or just for fun.
Although the sound of a small town guy, and a famous singer doesn’t immediately sound very original. This book and story was so different than I thought. From the moment I started reading, I was completely hooked to this story and I loved everything about it. This was definitely Elsie Silver at her finest.
The small town setting in Wild Eyes, is the same as in Wild Love. And it was so fun to see the small town and some of the characters we read about then, again now. The two main characters where great. Their interactions made me swoon and laugh, and I couldn’t get enough of them. Weston and Skylar had some epic chemistry, and their story was just fun all around.
What I loved most was that this book had some of my favorite tropes, all mixed into one great package. And it left me feeling super excited for what is next in this series. Elsie Silver did another great job and I will be thinking about these characters for a while for sure. ...more
Ever since I read Icebound by Meredith Trapp a few months ago, I knew I wanted to read more books by this author. Meredith’s way of writing is just soEver since I read Icebound by Meredith Trapp a few months ago, I knew I wanted to read more books by this author. Meredith’s way of writing is just so fun and easy.. I love it! So when I got Homebound I was super excited to start reading.
In Homebound we meet single dad Wyatt and Bull Rider Dakota. Wyatt has always loved Dakota, but she always saw him just as her best friend. After years of witnessing her love on every guy, except him, Wyatt left town!
Now, three years later, Wyatt is back to get Dakota to see he can be really good for her. But some things are very different now, for one Wyatt is a single dad to an adorable little girl, and second.. Dakota doesn’t want anything to do with him anymore.
Homebound was an hilarious, exciting, romantic and just addicting to read. I loved the two main characters Wyatt and Dakota, and their interactions made me smile. I loved how sweet and kind Wyatt was, and how tough and kind of rude Dakota was. It made for a different dynamic than most romance novels I’ve read and I loved it!
The whole single dad thing was also adorable! And I just loved the setting of the Texas heat and the world of Bull riding. Honestly there was nothing about this book I didn’t love! Add some interesting side characters like Dakota’s best girlfriend and it was definitely a great read!
Meredith Trapp writes some great steamy, romantic novels and I honestly can’t wait to read what she has in store for us next....more
I love Carrie Elks, and there honestly hasn’t been a book written by her that I didn’t love. But The Salinger Brothers series has definitely been one I love Carrie Elks, and there honestly hasn’t been a book written by her that I didn’t love. But The Salinger Brothers series has definitely been one of my favorite series written by her. So I was really looking forward to reading ‘Strictly The Worst’. These brothers have stolen my heart and when I got the opportunity to read it, I started right away.
From the moment I started reading ‘Strictly The Worst’ I was completely hooked. Linc Salinger and Tessa have been working together for two years. And they really don’t like each other. Linc is a workaholic, never stays at the same place long, he is handsome, and seems to charm everyone by just looking at them. Tessa is a hardworking, single mom trying to make ends meet. They don’t meet often at work, but when they do they bicker and fight. But when Linc and Tessa are forced to work together on a project at a beautiful sunny island, they learn that they both had a lot of prejudices about one another.
‘Strictly The Worst’ was a book that pulled me in right from the start. I couldn’t put this book down at all. Both main characters where a lot of fun to get to know. The chemistry between them was absolutely through the roof amazing. And I loved how this book was a slow burn that kept me swooning and sighing right till the end. I honestly couldn't get enough of these two. There where plenty of great side characters to enjoy, and the setting was great as well.
‘Strictly the Worst’ was an amazing romantic read and a great add to the Salinger Brothers series. Next to making me swoon, this book made me laugh! Although part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone. But I recommend reading them all for sure! ...more
Catherine Cowles is one of my absolute favorite authors. I’ve loved every series she has written so far. And from the moment I read about the Sparrow Catherine Cowles is one of my absolute favorite authors. I’ve loved every series she has written so far. And from the moment I read about the Sparrow Falls series, I knew this one was going to be epic. So when the ARC of the first book ‘Fragile Sanctuary’ arrived on my kindle, I started reading right away.
In ‘Fragile Sanctuary’ we read the story of Anson and Rhodes. Rhodes has lost her family in a fire years ago. Luckily she got the opportunity to live with a foster family that gave her everything she could have asked for. She was loved by her foster mom, grandmother, and several brothers and sisters. And she could always count on them. But now it is time for her to try to face her past and to rebuild her family home.
When she finally meets her brothers best friend Anson, who happens to be one of the guys that is rebuilding her family home, she is shocked by how grumpy and rude he really is. But although this should make her want to stay away, there is something about the guy that makes her want to stay close. And soon Rhodes learns that Anson has known loss as well.
From the moment I started reading ‘Fragile Sanctuary’ I was hooked. Catherine Cowles has a way of making you fall in love with her characters right from the start, and this book was no exception. The two main characters Anson and Rhodes couldn’t be more different, but they both had something about them that I loved right from the start. The chemistry between them was simple sizzling, and I couldn’t put this book down.
Not only the chemistry and romance in this book was unputdownable, the suspense was from another level. I loved reading how Anson’s profiler past came so the surface more and more. And in the end there where several moments in this book that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat.
Add some very interesting, and entertaining side characters and you have a perfect read in my opinion. There was nothing I didn’t love in this book. The silly grandmother, the overprotective family, and the crazy dog.. It was all so fun and entertaining. And I can’t wait to read more books in this series. ...more
‘Wild Love’ was a read that kept me hooked right from the start. We get to read the book through both Rosie and Ford’s point of view and I soon loved ‘Wild Love’ was a read that kept me hooked right from the start. We get to read the book through both Rosie and Ford’s point of view and I soon loved both these characters so much. Ford and Rosie have known each other for years. And they always had these fun banters. To the outside world they seemed to hate each other. But Ford definitely doesn’t hate Rosie.
‘Wild Love’ was a great read. I completely fell in love with these new characters, and I loved the small town of Rose Hill. There honestly was nothing about this book I didn’t love and I devoured every single page. The romance and chemistry between these characters was wonderful and I swooned so much while reading this book. Those banters between Ford and Rosie where just epic.
My absolute favorite character was Ford. We definitely all need a Ford Grant is our lives. He was a dream!
“Are you single? Yes. Are you? I don’t know. Next time you ask me that, make sure you are.”
Elise Silver definitely did another great job with ‘Wild Love’. I can easily say this book is going to be one of my favorite reads this year. If you’re looking for a great romance read, trust me.. Get yourself ‘Wild Love’. ...more

I was fascinated with everything that was going on and I found myself contemplating what would happen next even when I wasn’t reading.
The chemistry between Feyre and Rhysand was just as epic as in the second book. I loved reading about those quiet moments between them. Even when there weren’t as many as in the previous book. I loved how they both worked hard to keep their home safe.
There was a lot going on in this book, and there where a lot of new character to get to know. Although I’m usually very bad at keeping track of many characters at the same time, in this book I didn’t have this problem at all. Somehow I found myself being able to keep everyone apart. And I loved it. There where several twist and turns I didn’t see coming and I read till deep in the night.

And although Rhode hasn’t been the playboy he once was, he isn’t used to woman not being interested in him. And Nina definitely isn’t interested. Or at least that is what she want’s Rhode to think. This made for some very funny moments that made me laugh out loud. It was easy to picture these two characters and I enjoyed getting to know them.
The best part about ‘Icebound’ was that it didn’t go the way I anticipated, and the characters weren’t perfect. This made for two relatable characters and I loved that. The chemistry between Rhode and Nina was amazing. Sparks definitely flew.. but mostly it was a slow-burn romance. I really enjoyed the Hockey aspects as well. Their where some great and funny moments between Rhode and his teammates and the relationship between Nina and her sister was interesting to say the least.
Impressively, this book seems to be the first book by this author. And I’m definitely in awe! ‘Icebound’ was the perfect mix of humor and romance. Add some steamy moments, some great friendships, a character with anxiety problems which I really could relate to, a guy who falls first.. and to me this book was perfect. I honestly loved everything about it. And I can’t wait to read more by this author. If she can write this as a first novel.. Jeez.. I see a new auto-buy author in my future! ...more

In this book we read more about Feyre and how she is adjusting to her new life as Fae and I loved reading how she slowly found her strength back. And more importantly, in this book we get to know Rhysand, and boy did I love him.
Rhysand’s character was my absolute favorite. I loved learning more about him, his Night Court, his friends and especially reading who he really was underneath all the darkness. The way Rhysand and Feyre became closer was just done so well and I loved their journey.
I absolutely devoured ‘A Court of Mist and Fury’, when I wasn’t reading I was honestly still thinking of this book. Not only did I love reading Feyre and Rhysand’s story, I also loved reading more about Rhysand’s friends. They where such a lovely and mysterious bunch. I enjoyed getting to know them.
And I honestly was impressed with the way Sarah was able to make me love Tamlin’s character in the first book, and soon after starting this book his character started to frustrate me more and more. And yes, you can read this book as a standalone but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. This book was so good, but I really loved it because I knew about these two through reading the first book. And I would have missed certain parts I loved now.
Killian and Laura are two totally different characters, from two totally different worlds. But there is something between them right from the start. Laura would love to explore what’s between them, but Killian seems to hate everything about her. He gives very mixed signals, and I loved reading his point of views throughout this book. At times I definitely wanted to shake him up a bit, but I simple loved him and rooted for him from the start. Not to say Laura’s point of view wasn’t as fun to read as well. These characters are simple wonderful.
The romance and chemistry between Killian and Laura is amazing. There are definitely a few very steamy moments, moments that made me swoon and sigh, and definitely also some moments that made me sit on the edge of my seat. And I loved every single page in this book. I’m still a bit shocked that I love an MC series, since I usually think they are to crude and to violent. But Ashley Munoz definitely wrote a series I love! And I would totally recommend this series to other romance readers who love a bit of suspense in there as well.
‘Where We Belong’ left me feeling impatient to read more. There are still so many characters I’m curious about and I can’t wait to read their story as well. ‘Where We Belong’ was another great read that I devoured from start till finish. ...more

This book is written through both Holden and Blair’s point of view and I loved it. Holden and Blair come from two totally different worlds. But there is this instant connection between them, and both can’t seem to stay away from each other. Even though they really try!
Holden is a hardworking oncologist, who spends most of his time in the hospital. Although he is close with his brothers, he rarely takes the time to spend time with them. The one thing he does for himself, to take his mind of all those kids he can’t safe, is boxing. But it’s something he doesn’t want anyone to know. His time is spend alone, but when he sees Blair he can’t take his eyes of her. Blair doesn’t take crap from anyone, and she is very hardworking. She makes him smile, and for the first time he doesn’t seem to get the urge to go boxing. But unfortunately Blair seems to want the fairytale, and he isn’t someone who can give it to her.
My favorite character was Blair. She is the most unselfish person out there. She joined the army when she came out of High school to help her sister go to college. Now, years later, she is going to college herself, while working two jobs to make sure her sister and nephew have a good life. I admired her so much. And although I wished she wasn’t so afraid to let Holden in, I honestly was just in awe of her.
The romance and chemistry between Holden and Blair was amazing. And their interactions made me smile more than once. We also get to see the other Salinger brothers again for a bit, and I loved that. I’m so excited to read the story of the last Salinger brother next.
‘Strictly Not Yours’ was a great read. I adored every minute spend in this book. And Cinderella meets Fight Club definitely sounds about right. If you’re a fan of romance, this book is for you!...more

Lucian, the popular handsome sports guyIn ‘Things We Left Behind’ we read the story of Lucian and Sloan. They grew up living next door to each other. Lucian, the popular handsome sports guy and Sloan the geeky reader. But nothing is as it seems. And when one horrific event changes everything, they grow up disliking each. Now Lucian is a very rich workaholic who only visits Knockemout to visit his two best friends, Knox and Nash Morgan. And Sloan runs the towns successful library and is looking to start a family. Their lives couldn’t be more different. And every time Lucian and Sloan meet, it’s clear that there is a lot of anger between them.
But behind that anger there is a story. A story Lucian and Sloan never shared with anyone except their families. They can’t stand to be close to one another, and they also can’t seem to stay away. And when Sloan decides it’s time to start a family, Lucian realizes he can’t hide his true feelings forever.
From the moment I started reading ‘Things We Left Behind’ I was completely hooked. I knew I was going to love Lucian and Sloan’s story, and I definitely did. The way these two characters seemed to hate each other, while at the same time having this amazing chemistry. It was intense and I loved every minute of it.
I loved the mystery of Lucian’s character. He wasn’t the kindest, downright horrible at times, but he had something that made me love him. And I was so curious about what drove him and why he did the things he did. I definitely couldn’t get enough of him.
And then there was Sloan. Sloan is the girl I wish I could be! She is a librarian and is surrounded by books all the time. She organizes book signings and everything. I mean who wouldn’t want to be her? And then there is the way she stood up to Lucian. I think I might have a girl crush!
‘Things We Left Behind’ was an amazing enemies-to-lovers, slow burn romance I devoured. This book might even top the first book of the series. I loved everything about it and was honestly disappointed when I finished. I could have easily read about these two a lot longer....more
After reading the first two book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series, I couldn’t wait to read book three. So when I got the opportunity to read an ARC After reading the first two book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series, I couldn’t wait to read book three. So when I got the opportunity to read an ARC of ‘Fate of the Sun King’, I couldn’t pass up the chance and when the ARC arrived on my Kindle I started reading as soon as I could.
In ‘Fate of the Sun King’ we continue right where the second book ended. Lor now has the Heart Crown, but she still hasn’t been able to completely access her own magic. Now she not only has to hide from all her enemies, but she also has to work together with Nadir to get her magic back before it’s to late. There is danger around every corner, and in the midst from all the danger she learns the truth about her own family’s legacy. Nahir is by her side every time, but Lor still has trouble trusting him after being wronged so many times. And when they finally get closer to learning the truth, there also seem to be more secrets.
‘Fate of the Sun King’ was from the start as good as I hoped it would be. I loved reading about Lor and Nahir again, but also about some of the side characters we got to know in the previous books. There is a lot going on, and I’m glad I only read the first two books in the last couple of months, because while we got some answers we also got a lot more questions. There where some twists I didn’t see coming at all and I definitely kept sitting on the edge of my seat.
The romance was yet again slow burning, but definitely steamy and swoon worthy. I really loved how the author gave us what we wanted, but at the same time made me want so much more. Reading this book through different point of views was a lot of fun. And although I loved Lor, I can’t help myself but love Nahir even more. There is still so much about him we don’t seem to know, and I can’t wait to read more.
This book ended on a major cliffhanger, and I’m not okay. Well, I am.. but I’m not! Sigh.. Book four can’t come fast enough. We got some great thrilling moments that kept me on the edge of my seat. And I really can’t wait for the next book. I need answers!!

Wouldn’t it be horrible if I didn’t enjoy this book? Well, I shouldn’t have worried. From the moment I started reading ‘Things We Never Got Over’ I was hooked.
Getting to know Noami Witt and Knox Morgan was so much fun. They where two totally different people, but they had this chemistry between them that was undeniable. Noami was someone I could easily relate to. She was always taking care of everyone around her, making sure they where happy and doing well. From the moment Noami met her niece, she was determined to give her the best life possible. And although Knox was definitely horrible to her, when in need, she wanted to help him out too.
Knox was attracted to Noami right from the start. But his past, and the way he lived his life made him scared as hell to the things she made him feel. I loved their banters, and the way Knox didn’t seem to be able to help himself when he was around Noami. This book made me laugh and swoon at the same time.
And another great part about this read, the side characters. This book contained so many fun side characters I really hope we get to read more off in the next books. And I definitely plan to read those soon. ‘Things We Never Got Over’ was amazing! And I’m so excited I got to meet Lucy and get her to sign my books.

Violet has survived her first year at Basgiath War College but now has a whole new set of challenges. Not only is Xaden not around as much anymore, since he graduated last year, there is a new vice commander that seems to make it his mission to get rid of Violet. Violet’s dragons are having their own challenges at the same time and also Violet’s family is up for some challenges. ‘Iron Flame’ is set to be about another crazy year at Basgiath.
The thing with series is that I not often like the second book as much as the first one. Don’t get me wrong, they are often enjoyable but they never get me so excited as with the first book. Luckily, ‘Iron Flame’ was not your average ‘second’ book. I loved it right from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down.
Just as in the previous book, Iron Flame is action packed from start till finish. We rarely get time to catch our breath and yet another crazy, exciting thing is happening. We meet some old characters, and we meet some new ones. We get to love some characters, and boy do we get to hate some characters as well. This book gave me a complete roller coaster of feelings and I couldn’t put it down.
Violet and Xaden are just as explosive and fun together as in the previous book. And I love how they don’t have this unbelievable ‘perfect’ love story. They fight, they argue and yes they make up.. most times.. hopefully.. maybe?!
‘Iron Flame’ is definitely another five star read for me. I loved every single page, and it kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. I read till late at night, and definitely lost some sleep over it. Reese’s character I really related to. She didn’t trust easy, and wanted to give her little sister a better life. She worked hard, but life wasn’t kind to her. And when she met Blaine, she didn’t trust him to have good motives. I loved how she stood up to Blaine, even though she felt attracted to him right from the start.
The romance in this book was amazing, but there was also a lot of humor that made me smile. And I loved the way Blaine was with his brothers and cousins. They where all a lot of fun! Yes, Blaine was a bit controlling, but somehow I loved this about him. He did everything with the best intentions and I just loved their relationship.

Most times it takes me a few chapters to really get back into the story. Well, not with this book. Right from the beginning I was hooked and couldn’t put it down again. This story starts right where the first book ended. Lor has been taken from her imprisonment at the Sun King’s palace, right into another imprisonment. This time Nadir, the Aurora Prince has taken her. The only difference is, he seems to be on the same side as her. The only thing Nadir wants is for Lor to tell him her secrets. But this is something Lor is definitely not comfortable with. But when Nadir gives her the one thing she asked for, she figures it is time to share some secrets.
Soon after Nadir and Lor team up to find a artifact that has been missing for decades. This artifact might be the one thing that can help both Nadir and Lor. The more time Nadir and Lor spend together, the harder it becomes to keep the magic and feelings between them apart. But after Lor’s time at the Sun King’s palace, she is determined to keep every male Fae at a distance. No matter how charming, or how kind they seem to be. Not to mention there is a lot more going on around Nadir and Lor. Who has time for complicated feelings? The Aurora King still seems to be looking for Lor. And it keeps getting harder and harder to keep hidden.
‘Rule of the Aurora King’ was an amazing read. I devoured every page right from the start and I just couldn’t put it down. This book had the perfect combination of suspense, fantasy and romance and I just didn’t want it to end. I loved learning more about Lor and her family’s history and I loved getting to know Nadir. Nadir is definitely one enchanting prince.
The romance was amazing. A sizzling slow-burn with some curl toeing moments. I loved it! And I also loved getting to know some of the side characters in this series. Will there be a story there as well? This book gave me some answers, made me question more and above all kept me entertained and fascinated!

IA few weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive the beautiful paperbacks of the first two books in the Artefacts of Ouranos series. (Thank you Orbit!) I had heard about this series before, but since my TBR is never-ending, I didn’t think about it much again. But seeing this gorgeous looking book on my TBR trolley, made me want to start reading ASAP. And I did.
In ‘Trial of the Sun Queen’ we meet Lor. Lor has been imprisoned and tortured for many years. The only thing that keeps her going is her thirst for revenge. When Lor finds herself being sentenced to the Hallow, a hole in the ground close to a forest no one ever returns from, she feels like things might never end up getting better. But then she is taken, and soon find herself in the Sun King’s kingdom. Now she is one of the tributes, fighting for the role of the future Sun Queen. Everything is new and different for Lor. A big contrast to the world she grew up in. And she honestly doesn’t know what to think or who to trust. But to survive, she needs to fight and beat the other tributes.
Some books grab your attention right from the very first page. And this book definitely did that for me. I started reading, and didn’t need any time to get into it. I was just hooked right away and I loved every minute of it. I honestly almost read this book in one sitting, it was so good!
Lor was definitely a very interesting character. She was fierce, had a temper and was easily roused. But who could blame her after having been imprisoned and tormented for many years?! Honestly I was rooting for her temper at times, because some of these characters definitely deserved her anger. I loved how she adapted to being one of the Tributes. And although everything and everyone seemed to be against her, she kicked butt.
This book was exciting, at times romantic and above all addicting. Although I was way more distrusting then Lor towards the King, I enjoyed her interactions with him. And also those moments between her and her warden Gabriel. But most of all I loved how we learn more about this interesting world and especially the Fae. And then there is the mysterious Nadir! There’s just something about him, and I can’t wait to learn more about what his role will be in Lor’s life.
‘Trail of the Sun Queen’ was an amazing read! I’ve read some bad reviews about his book, but honestly I disagree completely. The author was able to pull me in right from the start. And although I might have suspected some things, it didn’t bother me at all. I loved getting to know this world, and it’s characters and I can’t wait to start reading book two. ...more

I’ve been looking forward to read their story ever since I read a little bit about them in the previous book in this series. And let me tell you.. This book was even better than I expected.
Dominic and Alessandra have been married for ten years. They fall madly in love years ago, and it seemed like a fairytale. Poor at first, but Dominic worked very hard. And now Dominic is known as the King of Wall street, and Alessandra is the perfect wife. But for years now Dominic has put his work before Alé. And one night, when Alé finds herself yet again waiting for her husband that has forgotten about her, she’s had enough. It’s time to leave her life behind and start over.
Dominic always thought that working hard meant he would achieve great things. And for a long time it has. But over the years, he forgot was what really important. When Dominic learns that Alé wants a divorce because she hasn’t been happy for many years he is in shock. He never thought she would leave him. And it’s taken him way to long to realize that Alé is the most important person in his life and his life would be empty without her.
When Alé leaves Dominic behind, he is determined to get her back. And he will do everything in his power to make her want him back. Even it means he will lose everything he worked for. But Alé is not sure she will ever be able to trust him again. How can she, when he haven’t really seen her for years.
This book was something else. No new relationship, but two people who have been married for years but have lost their connection. I loved Dominic and Alessandra’s story right from the start and I found myself thinking about this book and it’s characters all the time. And trust me, the only reason I didn’t finish this book in a day was the fact I had to work.
Dominic and Alessandra’s story was heartbreaking and beautiful. My heart ached while reading how Alessandra had felt for years, and how broken Dominic was when he realized he lost the only person that believed in him. At times I couldn’t imagine how this book would end up in a good way, and my hears almost couldn’t take it. But luckily enough, Ana has some compassion after all. LOL!
The chemistry between these two characters where amazing. And it made for some pretty epic moments. I loved how Dominic and Alé loved each other, even when they weren’t together. I also really enjoyed reading little moments about the characters in the previous books.
‘King of Greed’ was another great read I loved and devoured. These characters will definitely stay with me for a long time to come. And yet again, I can’t wait to read for the next book in this series. It will be hard to top this one for sure. ...more
