Plot

Chicken Boo works as Santa Claus for a department store that gives out a requested toy by a conveyer belt. However, Colin (aka the Randy Beaman kid) knows that Santa is really a giant chicken, to which the manager chalks up as a kid's odd fear and points out that Chicken Boo is the best Santa they have ever had. In true fashion, an accident with the conveyer belt rips off Chicken Boo's costume. An enraged manager remarks that "maybe they let chickens work as Santa in Arkansas, but not in the big city", and promptly kicks Chicken Boo into the sky. The real Santa saves the day by swooping down to rescue him and gives Chicken Boo a happy ending by giving him a ride in his sleigh.

Toy Shop Terror

Animation by Wang Film Production

Plot

To the music of Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse," the Warners run amok in a toy shop after hours and attempt to avoid a security robot summoned by the shop's owner.

Crew

Trivia

  • This cartoon marks the one of the few uses of "Powerhouse" in Animaniacs and the other WB/Amblin cartoons. Most other times, a parody soundalike is used. Portions of the song were later used in the Pinky and the Brain cartoon "Brain of the Future." Additionally, when Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain aired on Cartoon Network, their respective theme songs were often mixed with "Powerhouse" in bumpers animated by Primal Screen (much like other shows aired on CN from 1998-2004).
  • This is the only cartoon from either season 1 Christmas episode of Animaniacs to not be included in the 1994 home video release Animaniacs: Helloooo, Holidays!, instead featuring a partially re-dubbed A Gift of Gold and Nighty Night Toon.
  • Clips from this segment would later be used in the show's extended theme song opening.
  • This cartoon was originally going to be in black and white with the exception of the Warners' red noses similar to Babblin' Bijou, Ragamuffins, and The Girl with the Googily Goop, and presented as a Warners short from the 1930s.

Yakko's Universe

Animated by Tokyo Movie Shinsha

YUTC

Plot

Yakko sings a song about the vastness of space and the smallness of us compared to it.

Crew

Songs

  • This is a repeat of the classic song from episode 3 because of its wintery setting.
