This will help you explore 100 percent of Tatooine.

On separate pages of the guide you will find interactive maps to the other main locations:

  1. Akiva;
  2. Toshara;
  3. Kijimi.

Reaching Tatooine

Tatooine is not accessible from the very beginning of the game. You must first advance the main storyline by completing quests on Toshara and fixing the Trailblazer's hyperdrive.

You must also unlock the main quest Hyperspace, which will let you use the hyperdrive. One of three newly unlocked quests - The Heavy - takes place on Tatooine. The first step is to talk to the sheriff on the Tatooine surface.

Tatooine Orbit

After a successful flight you'll find yourself in the planet's orbit. Two hostile factions can be fighting here - you can either join the battle on the side of the faction you have better relations with or ignore them.

You can land on Tatooine after approaching the planet and interacting with it. The Trailblazer will land in the middle of nowhere, but you can unlock different landing sites later.

Tatooine Surface

Tatooine is a large desert planet, home to a variety of smugglers and criminals. The most important faction on this planet is the Hutt Cartel led by Jabba the Hutt- you can find Jabba's palace out in the wastes, although initially you cannot visit it. There are also Imperial forces present.

The map is vast and rather diverse - the central region is mountainous, the eastern is a salt desert and the western is a sand desert.

Mos Eisley

Mos Eisley is the largest city on Tatooine, home to various criminals and bounty hunters. At almost every step you'll encounter Imperial soldiers, guarding certain locations and forbidding entry. Within the city you can find a guarded area owned by the Hutt Cartel and a space port with an available landing site.

While in Mos Eisley you can find Treasures, meet quest givers and trade with merchants.

Bestine

Bestine is a small city completely controlled by the Empire - you'll need to avoid patrols and be careful when breaking the law.

There are merchants, quest givers, treasures, collectibles and a landing site for the Trailblazer.

Factions on Tatooine

The main faction of this planet is the Hutt Cartel, led by Jabba the Hutt - in the game you can visit Jabba's Palace and meet this famous figure in person.

Hutt Cartel bases are located both in the wasteland and in Mos Eisley - in the city you will also find a Vault in the territory of this faction.

In addition to the Hutt Cartel, you'll encounter Imperial forces in many locations on Tatooine - they may be guarding access to certain areas or buildings.

Collectibles

There are tons of different collectibles hidden all over Tatooine and we've marked them all on the map. You can find them out in the wastes and the aforementioned cities.

Secrets include Jet Kordo's Legacy , Encrypted Entries, ISB Reports, Holodramas, Kessel Sabacc and Jet's Journals.

Treasure, Nix Treasure and Smuggler Cache

There are various Treasures to be found while exploring Tatooine. By using the map you can learn how many treasures total there are and how many you've already found.

The planet hides not only regular treasure but also Nix Treasures tied to your animal companion.

A separate group is Smuggler Caches - containers partially buried in the ground that Kay can lead her to with her Holotracker.

Characters

You'll meet many NPCs on Tatooine, mainly quest givers and Intel characters. You'll learn about new quests through meetings, exploring and eavesdropping.

There are also many traders and service providers available. Some of the characters you can visit include the Scavenger, Smuggler, Tailor, Survivalist, Contract Broker, Speeder Mechanic, and Ship Mechanic.

Unique locations

Fast travel is available while on Tatooine (on orbit, on planet surface and in cities). All new fast travel points must be first discovered manually. While in the wastes you can leave your speeder behind places you'd like to return to, as you can fast travel to it.

There is at least one canteen in each city - these will let you advance through quests, meet unique NPCs and find new secrets.

In the Wasteland you can explore locations including Artifact Location, Cave, Compound, Hideout, Hostile Camp, Imperial Terminal, Landmark, and Outpost. Many have treasures associated with them. There are also mini-games to play. These include Canto Fathier Racing, Galactic Street Food and Sabacc Table.
