The minor quest Sing Karaoke in Disco Elysium is available at the Whirling-in-Rags hostel on the ground floor. On this page of the guide, we've included information on how to get Garte to let Harry sing, where to find a sad song, how to listen to it on the tape player, and how to sing it correctly on stage.

Starting the quest

Make your way to the bar on the ground floor of Whirling-in-Rags, the hostel where you started the game.

Examine the sound system and don't ignore the voices of the Inland Empire (purple orb). The first goal of the quest is to get a tape with a sad song.

Tape with the song

Head west towards the abandoned house. You will find a container behind it, and inside it - tape with a song (Smallest Church in Saint-Saens).

The final stage of the quest is to convince Garte to let Harry sing - talk to him at the Whirling-in-Rags bar.

Garte will refuse Harry and you will have to repeat the requests to make the karaoke machine available. You can improve Garte's attitude towards the protagonist by completing related quests:

  1. Pay for damages - give him the full sum (130 real) or a negotiated lower amount;
  2. Take stuffed bird to Garte - give him the captured bird.

Here you'll also have to check your Drama skill. You will complete the quest regardless of its result - if the test is passed, Harry will sing the song nicely, and if you fail it, he will scare the gathered guests with his performance. In both cases, you will receive 30 XP.
